1. Give your home a nice flow

A home with a nice flow leaves a great impression to buyers. Clear any obstacles that might make it difficult to get from one place to another.

2. Clear the clutter

Make sure your home is spotless. You want buyers to see bright, open living spaces, not rooms filled with unnecessary items.

3. Add new kitchen appliances

If it fits your budget, replace your old, worn out kitchen appliances with new ones.

4. Improve curb appeal

A property with great curb appeal has a great chance of attracting many potential buyers. You don’t have to go overboard – a bit of landscaping, adding new plants, and a fresh coat of paint should do the trick.

5. Light it up

Make your interiors bright and airy by opening your windows, adding more light, and repainting walls with light colors.

6. Clean your tiles

Get rid of grime and mold by spraying your tiles with a mixture of one part bleach and one part water.

7. Make sure rooms have a clear purpose

Buyers should have a clear idea of what the room can be used for. This makes it easier for them to envision living there.

8. Clean shower doors

Are your shower doors grimy? You might not need to replace them yet. Try a mixture of muriatic acid an plenty of water and scour away.

9. Add more space to bathrooms

Replace old vanities with pedestal sinks to add more space to small bathrooms.

10. Give your hardwood floors a new appearance

Sand and stain your old hardwood floors to give it a fresh, new appearance.

11. Use subtle accessories

Don’t put accessories that draw too much attention – the key is to use décor that accentuates a room’s different features.

12. Add plenty of storage

Tons of storage space is always a huge plus – clear out your closets, cabinets and shelves to show off your home’s storage capabilities.

13. Don’t make bedrooms appear gender-specific

Use neutral colors and non gender-specific décor and furniture for your master bedroom.

14. Show off the view

If your home has gorgeous views outside, make your windows the focal point of the room.

15. Upgrade the backyard

You don’t have to spend too much to create a beautiful yard – simply add outdoor lights, lounge chairs, and more plants to make it attractive.

16. Set the table

An empty dining room is a dull sight – set it up as though you’re expecting to host a dinner party.

17. Consider installing granite countertops to your kitchen

It might be a bit expensive, but adding granite countertops add a touch of luxury to any kitchen.
