The Italian Center of Stamford is a local institution established in 1933 and symbolizes the important role the Italian community has played in Stamford. Apart from its long history, the Italian Center of Stamford is also known for organizing a variety of events and activities, including a series of much-awaited summer day camps for the youth.

About the Italian Center Summer Day Camps

Open to Stamford boys and girls from kindergarten to 6th grade, the Italian Center’s summer day camps main aim is to help Stamford youth make use of their summer vacation and turn it into a fruitful holiday.

Aside from getting to make new friends and establish stronger bonds with their peers, participants will be able to hone an array of skills guaranteed to help boost confidence and self-esteem.

Among the full day camp activities included in the Italian Center’s summer day camps are:

Parents and prospective participants should note that activities included in the full day camp vary depending on the age group as well as the session. The same goes for half day camps, which include the following activities:

The Italian Center’s summer day camps are held Mondays through Fridays, with full day camps starting at 9 in the morning and running well into the late afternoon. Meanwhile, the half-day camps commence at 9 am and end at 12 noon. Italian Center members get to register early, while registration for the general public is usually opened in late February.
